Pulpit Ridge
CALEDON, ONTARIO - CONCEPT
Pulpit Ridge Overview
Pulpit Ridge is a conceptual development for the potential future use of The Pulpit Club, along with other connected and contiguous properties owned and managed by Longridge Partners.
We envision Pulpit Ridge as an exclusive, members-only lifestyle destination nestled in the scenic hills of Caledon, Ontario. Encompassing over 1,000 acres of pristine countryside on the Niagara Escarpment, it will offer a refined experience rooted in nature, recreation, and modern luxury. Pulpit Ridge is a concept community that blends world-class golf, premium lodging, and all-season outdoor activity.
Existing Amenities
Highlights
Over 1,000 acres of inspiring natural land featuring rolling hills, mature forests, large ponds, and extensive trail systems
Two nationally ranked, operational, and profitable golf courses - the Pulpit and the Paintbrush.
Extensive dining and recreational amenities including two restaurants, seasonal children’s camps, swimming pools, golf simulator, and year-round trail access for hiking, mountain biking, snow-shoeing, and tobogganing.
Nine existing member accommodations, providing proof of concept for full-time, seasonal, and short-term rental opportunities
Conceptual Developments
Longridge has developed plans to envision the expansion of amenities to make use of extensive available land, 275 acres of which are immediately contagious to the golf courses, and 250 of which are indirectly connected through a nature preserve that integrates further natural areas and trail systems for enjoyment.
Highlights
The concept envisions additional amenities to be added including spa and fitness facilities, tennis courts, event spaces, and additional restaurant facilities
The concept envisions additional homes and accommodations to be added, including hotel units, stay-and-play cabins, and estate cottages
These properties are located within the Greenbelt and development entitlements would pursue “resort use” permissions that integrate with the existing golf and recreational facilities
The resulting development may continue to be positioned as a private club, or realize a highest-and-best use as a resort destination, or a hybrid
The Pulpit Club
The proof of concept for Pulpit Ridge is already a successful operation. The Pulpit Club is established as one of the top-rated private golf clubs in Canada, with an affluent, engaged, and diverse membership base. Its two world-class golf courses each offer a unique and highly sought-after experience, and the Club is successfully positioned as a four-season destination catering to outdoor enthusiasts. Moreover, Longridge has integrated several of its existing holdings as stay-and-play properties, which have been rented by members as seasonal cottages and full-time homes, as well as by guests seeking short-term experiential accommodations.
Longridge Recreation Centre
The Longridge Recreation Centre is a conceptual amenity to be built primarily on Longridge property south of the Pulpit golf course with some amenities situated on the Pulpit.
The LRC will be the home for non-golf programming and outdoor exploration, including tennis facilities, extensive hiking trails, a kids club, the lodge, a full-service spa, and a fitness centre.
The location of the Longridge Recreation Centre benefits from direct road access and two large and scenic ponds.
In addition to Pulpit Club members and Pulpit Ridge guests, Lifestyle category memberships will be offered for non-golf outdoor enthusiasts wishing to access these facilities.
Longridge Resort Homes
Longridge Homes are a conceptual development to be built on Longridge property south of the Pulpit golf course containing a community of housing units members can purchase for year-round direct access to the Pulpit Club and the Longridge Recreation Centre
Three types of housing options will be available for purchase and can also be rented out as stay-and-play options during unoccupied periods.
The first housing option will be the Cabins. These will be the smallest accommodation units including 2 bedrooms, a loft, and a small living space, ideally suited for short-term stays
The second housing option will be the Cottages. The Cottages will feature a 3-bedroom layout with a moderate living area and includes more privacy than the Cabins.
The third housing option will be the Ranches. These will be the largest accommodation units with 4 bedrooms, a large living space, two levels, and a garage, suitable for comfortable long-term stays.

Future Development Nodes
Pulpit Contiguous Land
Immediately connected to the sprawling 330 acre Pulpit golf course property, the Pulpit Contiguous Land (140 acres) provides a future development node ideally situated to expand the club’s recreational amenities and accommodation offerings. These two properties, known individually as Pulpit Ponds and California Exchange provide points of entrance via Highway 10 and Kennedy Road, and feature stunning topography of rolling terrain and large ponds.
A century home on the property presently serves as one of Longridge’s seasonal rental accommodation and, as a former guest house from the late 1800s, provides an opportunity to redevelop the home as a boutique hotel with historical connection.
Paintbrush Contiguous Land
Immediately connected to the renowned Paintbrush golf course, the Paintbrush Contiguous Land (130 acres) provides a mix of open farmland and mature forests, and the opportunity to expand the Pulpit Ridge development area with dwellings and amenities that connect to one of the top-rate golf courses in Canada.
Further Expansion Land
Within hiking distance of The Pulpit Club and Pulpit Contiguous Land through the Willoughby Nature Preserve, the Further Expansion Land (known as Knightsgrange) offers 250 acres of some of Caledon’s finest natural terrain.
The property presently provides 5 rental homes, with tennis courts, swimming pools, and trails and ponds for exploration. A redevelopment of the site would make use of the existing building footprints and substantial open area that features numerous elevated building sites.
