Our History
Longridge’s investment thesis was born over 50 years ago with a foundational belief: land is the world’s most enduring asset.
In 2018, John Clark and Mack Crawford founded Longridge to structure investments with institutional partners to build on John’s successful track record and leverage Mack’s expertise.
Our early investments focused on farmland and estate properties — rooted in long-term capital preservation and value appreciation. In 2020, we evolved our strategy to include recreation and hospitality with the private equity acquisition and turnaround of The Pulpit Club, one of Canada’s leading private golf clubs.
This demonstrated how land, lifestyle, and operational expertise come together to create a modern, institutional-grade investment platform, and set the stage for future investments.
